When I was young I'd watch them on TV Snow White's seven dwarfs were heroes to me Dorothy met the Munchkins on the Yellow Brick Road My lifelong fascination continued to grow Wonka's Oompa Loompas sang with perfect rhyme Teaching spoiled little brats one lesson at a time Looking back, one thing is absolutely certain I've pulled for these guys from behind the wizard's curtain
I've always loved them little guys Standing ten feet tall in everybody's eyes Rising tall though they didn't grow No one is better at stealing the show
Leprechauns are magic, finding pots of gold Lucky Charms put them on every box that's sold Dr. Evil and Mini-Me were the perfect pair All their scenes electrified the air Wee Man and Preston always raised some hell How they lived through Jackass, I still can't tell Then Tyrion ruled kingdoms with a glass held high He outsmarted bad rulers with barely a try Little People, Big World came into our home Showing bigger hearts wherever they would roam
I've always loved them little guys Standing ten feet tall in everybody's eyes Rising tall though they didn't grow No one is better at stealing the show
Ringside at the Fairgrounds, Micro wrestling both years Bay City entertainment while we drank tall boy beers Micro Jackson moonwalked out when "Beat It" hit the air We laughed 'til we cried and fell out of our chair
The second year poor Hadder couldn't go His dad's funeral was the morning after the show I asked Little Miss, "Got one favor if you can?" "Stop by the funeral home… it's for my buddy's old man." Hadder laughed and said, "Dad's friends would be shocked!" His brother smiled and said, "That funeral would've rocked." Little Miss just grinned and said, "That's one we can't fulfill." We still laugh about that story… and I guess we always will.
Now they're changing Snow White, rewriting the tale Leaving out the dwarfs? That's a big PC fail Little guys need a union, please make the call Hollywood's elite shouldn't block good jobs for all Rednecks used to toss 'em, a real dumb game Those idiots should burn in hell's hot flame I love these guys and girls, Hollywood don't ignore 'em I'm just a big supporter of these funny little showmen
I've always loved them little guys Standing ten feet tall in everybody's eyes From Oz to Wonka, Bay City nights They've been making me laugh my whole damn life I've always loved them little guys Some call me crazy, and maybe they're right But if laughter's measured by the joy they bring They're some of the biggest stars I've ever seen
Leprechauns… Munchkins… Oompas too… Mini-Me… Wee Man… Tyrion too… Micro Jackson… Little Miss… under Bay City skies I've always been a fan of those cool little guys.
